KARACHI – Pakistan’s auto sector remains in dire straits lately and there is improvement in sales, despite any major drop in prices. The sales of key players like Toyota, Suzuki, and Honda saw a gradual increase amid smooth auto financing due to lowering interest rates.
As 2024 is about to end, Suzuki jacked up prices for key models like Alto, Swift, and Cultus by around Rs2lac, while IMC increased prices for Yaris variants, particularly the Yaris ATIV CVT 1.3 by a significant Rs0.75 million.
Honda, in contrast, lowered prices for City M/T and CVT models by up to Rs140,000, offering some relief to buyers. Kia and other auto giants also witnessed mixed price changes, with the Picanto M/T seeing a rise, while the Stonic Ex+ and Sportage FWD/AWD models saw price cuts.
