Terrorism continued to hit the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province as the terrorists gunned down five people including four men in uniform in Dera Ismail Khan division Saturday late night. “As many as four Levies force personnel along with a driver were martyred when unknown militants ambushed their vehicle in D I Khan”.
The Levies personnel, according to the Assistant Commissioner Daraban, were attacked on their way to recover a stolen truck in a vehicle driven by private staff in tehsil Daraban.
The bodies of Levies personnel were shifted to Daraban hospital while an investigation was underway. The Security forces in the area also reported to have kicked off search and net operation in the region yet the terrorists responsible for the heinous crime remained at large.
Earlier the Assistant Commissioner of Boshehra Tehsil of Kurram restive tribal district, was injured while a cop was martyred in a firing incident by the unidentified attackers on the officials on Friday. Likewise a day earlier local tribes of Kurram district thwarted another attempt by the terrorists in Lower Kurram. The unknown terrorists had launched an attack on the Toot Pyala area in Lower Kurram on Saturday morning, using heavy and automatic weapons.
