PESHAWAR Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has said that the provincial government has allocated 32 billion rupees to cope with coronavirus in the province. He also indicated for giving special incentives to the employees of different departments including health workers, rescue workers, police personnel and others who fighting against the Corona pandemic on the front-lines. In a statement issued here, the Chief Minister has said that his government is seriously considering of giving special incentives to such employees as a gesture of encouragement and support adding that the provincial government highly values the selfless services of those employes who are striving hard to save others at the risks of their own lives. Mehmood khan termed those employees as a real heroes in the fight against Corona and remarked that the provincial government would recognize their services and all possible support would be extended to them. “If any of the employees gets effected by Corona in the line of duty and lost his life, the provincial government would support his/her family to maximum level”, Mahmood Khan maintained. The Chief Minister has also expressed his gratitude for the owners of shopping plazas, markets and restaurants for their cooperation with the government for shutting down set ups as precautionary steps to control the Coronavirus. He also thanked the general public for maintaining maximum social distancing and minimizing social contacts in the prevailing situation. Meanwhile it is reported that as many as six hundred bottles of fake hand sanitiser were seized and culprits held here in the provincial capital on Saturday. According to details, district administration, Peshawar Additional Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Shafiq Afridi and Faqirabad SHO Javed Akhtar jointed raided a plaza in Faqirabad area of Peshawar. During raid, six hundreds bottles of fake sanitisers were seized and some arrests were also made. It is worth mentioning here that the Pakistan is currently facing a shortage of face masks and hand sanitiser amid its battle with the coronavirus. The government has repeatedly warned stores and manufacturing companies against hoarding and profiteering of the product. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to convert 231 schools across the province into quarantine centres. This includes 133 boys schools and 98 girls schools. Twenty-eight schools in Charsadda will be turned into centres for the isolation of coronavirus patients, 25 schools in Swabi and 31 boys schools in Lower Dir. On Friday, the KP government announced that all its educational institutes, including private and public schools, colleges, tuition centres and universities, will remain closed till May 31 as the province continues to combat the novel coronavirus
