Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice Gulzar Ahmed has stressed need of close nexus between bench and bar and said both are integral part of same system.
He was talking to a 21-member delegation of Executive body High Court Bar Association Bahawalpur, headed by its President Raja Muhammad Sohail Iftikhar and comprising office bearers which called on him in Supreme Court Islamabad on Monday.
Chief Justice, Mr Justice Gulzar Ahmed said it is duty of bar to assist the bench by pleading the cases on merit so that litigants can get prompt relief from the Courts. His lordship emphasized them to work hard for the betterment of system of administration of justice and advised them to inculcate habit of incessant reading that will make them successful in their professional life.
The delegation thanked the Chief Justice of Pakistan for sparing time for them and discussed different issues relating to the field of administration of justice and invited his lordship to visit Bahawalpur. The CJP expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the delegation.
