Former Information Officer Syed Rahat Zafar was laid to rest in H-8 Graveyard in the federal capital on Saturday.
The Funeral Prayers of the deceased was attended by Chairman PEMRA Saleem Baig, PIO Sohail Ali Khan, ex-secretary information Anwar Mehmood, Ishfaq Gondal, Chaudhry Rasheed Ahmed, relatives and large number of other people belonging to different walks of life.
Syed Rahat Zafar served as private secretary to Chaudhry Shujat Hussain, Makhdoom Ameen Faheem (late), former speaker Chaudhry Ameer Hussain and he retired in grade 20.
The deceased was suffering from cancer and he expired on Friday night after protracted illness.
