Chairman of Punjab Artists and Producers Theatre Association Qaiser Sanaullah Khan was shot and injured by unidentified assailants on Canal Road here on Sunday.
The bullets hit Qaiser Sanaullah in the leg and he was out of danger.
A private TV channel reported that four bullets were fired at Qaiser Sanaullah but only one bullet hit his leg.
According to the police, the motive behind the attack is not yet clear and an investigation was under way.
