A youth drowned while attempting to rescue his three friends who went into deep waters in River Ravi.
The incident occurred near Jandiala Kalsan village of Muridke. All four friends went for a picnic to River Ravi from Sanda area of Lahore.
named Sumair Accidently, three friends – Abdi, Nasir and Kahid went into deep waters where they started raising alarms as they did not know swimming.
Responding to cries for help, fourth one named Sumair went after them. He rescued the three friends but unfortunately did not manage to help himself and drowned in the deep water of River Ravi.
