KP on Tuesday extended the health emergency in the province for a period of three months. According to details, the decision was taken after clear evidence of fifth wave of coronavirus and situation arising due to new variant in the country. As per the notification, the emergency will remain imposed till March 31.
On the other hand, Pakistan has reported 2 more deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,297,865. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 28,945 on Monday.—INP
