A ceremony was held in the honour of Chakwal’s renowned spiritual and social personality Syed Tas-veer Abbas Hamdani, organized by senior UN offi-cial Malik Iftikhar Ahmed, attended by Hafiz Am-mar Yasir, Provincial Minister for Minerals, Is-lamabad based senior journalist Syed Tabassum Abbas Shah and several notables of Chakwal.
Speakers paid homage to Syed Tasveer Abbas Shah Hamdani for his immense services to the region. Punjab is a province rich in important minerals in-cluding limestone and iron, said Hafiz Aamar Yasir while addressing the ceremony. He said that gov-ernment is taking all possible steps for the develop-ment of minerals. The whole area of chakwal is proud of a spiritual and social personality like Syed Tasveer Abbas Shah Hamdani. UN Representative Malik Iftikhar Ahmed’s social work for his region is commendable, such people are a beacon for the society.
