A three-day international Muslim lifestyle exhibition dedicated to Islamic goods and services will be held in Indonesia from August 26 to 28.
The Indonesian International Muslim Lifestyle Exhibition held at the Indonesian Congress Exhibition in Tangerang aims to connect the world with the Indonesian Islamic community.
Ms. Vini Adam, spokeswoman for Lima Events, the organizers of the show, said in a statement that the show is a business meeting and exhibition for business.
She said it will attract tens of thousands of offline visitors and millions of online viewers from around the world.
She said that the exhibition will cover eight main sectors, namely; Halal food and drinks; halal cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and herbs; Halal Travel and Destinations.
Others: Islamic finance and banking; Halal Media and Leisure; Modest fashion; Islamic education, books and publishing; Sharia real estate and infrastructure.
The Nigerian News Agency (NAN) reports that Indonesia has a large Muslim population of 229 million (about 87.2 percent of the total population of 255 million), the most populous Muslim-majority country in the world.
The 2022 State of the Global Islamic Economy (SGIE) report estimates that 1.9 billion Muslims around the world spent the equivalent of US$2 trillion in 2022.
This amount was spent on food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, fashion, travel, and media/entertainment that were influenced by ethical consumption needs inspired by the Islamic faith.
According to Adam, the three-day exhibition will include workshops, product presentations, business meetings, as well as visits to plantations, Islamic economic development centers and halal industry sectors in Indonesia.
She added that “more than 100 local and international exhibitors and more than 50,000 trade visitors and consumers are expected to attend the exhibition, covering an area of more than 4,800 square meters.” She said the fair is Indonesia’s largest Islamic and Halal industry business exhibition, co-organized with the Indonesian Community of Islamic Business and Entrepreneurs (KPMI).—The Sun Nigeria
