Effective & immediate steps should be taken by adopting a better strategy to further improve the drainage system across the city, If we all work together for the betterment of the city, then God Willing, the KW&SB will definitely be successful & pioneer in its original objectives, Good measures are being taken with the joint cooperation of the Sindh Government & World Bank to provide better drainage facilities to the citizens.

These views were expressed by CEO KW&SB Engineer Syed Sallahuddin Ahmed while addressing all Sewerage Executive Engineers at MD Secretariat Karsaz, COO KW&SB Engineer Asadullah Khan, Chief Engineer Water / Sewerage Hanif Baloch were also present on this occasion, CEO KW&SB said that providing better water supply & drainage facilities to the citizens is one of our top priorities.
Therefore, we all have to work together for the betterment of the city, He said that all the complaints of drainage across the city should be eliminated on an emergency basis, In this regard, effective steps are being taken by the KW&SB to make good quality manhole covers.
He instructed the authorities to request the citizens to identify the thieves of the manholes, and in this regard, full cooperation should be given to the KW&SB administration, to stop this process, on this occasion, on the complaints of lack of staff from the Executive Engineers, the CEO KW&SB said that approval will be taken from the Covering Board for the recruitment of health workers on daily wages, in order to overcome the shortage of employees.
He issued orders to the officers & further said that good steps should be taken immediately to clean their respective offices, Also, the necessary schemes to further improve the sewerage system in the city should be sent to the Standing Committee for approval, So that better drainage facilities can be provided to the citizens.
