A judge of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday excused himself from hearing the plea against the detention of former Punjab chief minister Pervaiz Elahi.
Justice Farooq Haider excused himself from hearing the case and sent the file to the chief justice.
The court adjourned further hearing of the case till Tuesday.
It also issued notices to the additional chief secretary (home) and other parties in the case against the detention of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
It is to be noted here that Pervaiz Elahi’s wife Qaisara Elahi had filed a petition against the detention of her husband.
