Senior judge of the Islamabad High Court, Mohsen AkhtarKayani on Sunday lauded the joint efforts of stakeholders in advancing the arbitration system in Pakistan and emphasized the importance of holding frequent training initiatives to advance the cause of justice in Pakistan.
Justice Kayani made these remarks during the concluding session of a six-day mediation training course, which was organized by the Ministry of Law and Justice. He pointed out that traditional litigation procedures often led to delays and higher expenses, which ultimately hindered the access to justice.
The mediation training course drew participants from various sectors, including judges from Balochistan, distinguished lawyers from the Supreme Court of Pakistan, and professionals from institutions such as the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), all specializing in the field of law.
This six-day training program focused on Civil/Commercial Arbitration and earned praise from senior stakeholders. The Ministry of Law and Justice is determined to expediting the delivery of justice in the High Judiciary. The inaugural session was presided over by Minister of Law and Justice Ahmed Irfan Aslam and Secretary of the Ministry of Law and Justice Raja Naeem Akbar.
