A special event, dedicated to the renowned Turkish Sufi poet Yunus Emre, was organised by an education foundation here the other day. According to a press release, the ceremony, held at the Quaid-i-Azam Library, saw the presence of Turkish Consul General Darmish Bash Togh, Country Director of the Turkish Culture Centre, and Yunus Emre Institute, Dr Khalil Toqar, along with other esteemed personalities. During the event, Yunus Emre’s profound impact on Turkey’s modern establishment and his contributions to cultural and historical ties between Pakistan and Turkey were acknowledged. Speakers paid tribute to Yunus Emre’s personality.
