Declaring the returning officer’s (RO) decision null and void, an appellate election tribunal on Tuesday accepted the nomination papers of RehanaImtiaz Dar, mother of ex-PTI leader Usman Dar, for the National Assembly (NA) seat (NA-71), Sialkot.
The tribunal comprised of Justice Shakeel Ahmad. She is up against her son’s longtime rival Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart Khawaja Muhammad Asif.—NNI
