LAHORE – The government of Punjab has announced a public holiday in the provincial capital Lahore on March 2 (Saturday) on account of urs celebrations of Madhu Lal Hussain.

The notification stated a holiday for the general public in Lahore District on 2nd March 2024, on account of “Annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Madhu Lal Hussain.

March 2 Holiday in Lahore

The annual celebrations of Madhu Lal Hussain will commence over the weekend. Senior officials including Secretary Auqaf will inaugurate urs celebrations on the grave of the Sufi saint.

The Urs celebration will be attended by members of the Religious Committee, ulema, Mushaikh, and a large number of devotees. The Auqaf Department has allocated Rs459,000 for the Urs grant, and local police and the department have made comprehensive security arrangements for the visitors.
