Provincial Minister of Health and Emergency Services Punjab Khawaja Salman Rafique attended the main ceremony of International Firefighters Day at the Rescue Headquarters as a special guest. Secretary Emergency Services Punjab DrRizwanNaseer and a large number of firefighters were present. The main event of World Fire Fighters Day was officially started with the recitation of Holy Quran and National Anthem. Provincial Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique also distributed certificates of appreciation among the best firefighters of 2023 on this occasion. During the ceremony, a prayer was also offered for the elevation of the ranks of the descendants of the people who embraced martyrdom.
Provincial Minister of Health and Emergency Services Punjab Khawaja Salman Rafique while addressing the participants of the main ceremony of International Firefighters Day said that today is the day to pay tribute to firefighters all over the world. The 23 firefighters who laid down their lives in the line of duty are great heroes of the Pakistani nation. Firefighters of Punjab have saved this nation from losses of more than 650 billion rupees by risking their lives. At Rescue 1122 Services Academy, rescuers are trained according to modern requirements.
