LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Thursday sealed over 12 commercial buildings in Lahore for violation of parking bylaws. The sealed premises include bakery, cloth shops, shoes shops, offices and others.
Joint teams of LDA Town Planning Wing and Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) also removed illegal signboards from over 24 commercial building during operation on MM Alam Road, Gulberg and College Road, Township.
As per the LDA officials, several notices were served to these buildings’ owners before carrying out the operation.
TEPA Chief Engineer Iqrar Hussain supervised the operation which was carried out with the help of heavy machinery, enforcement teams and Police. LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against violation of building and parking bylaws, encroachments and illegal signboards in Lahore.
