Speaking at the 95th birthday celebration of renowned scholar Dr. JamilJalibi and the 66th anniversary of the Urdu Dictionary Board, Governor Sindh Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori emphasized the urgent need for a Primary Education Commission.
The event celebrated the contributions of Dr. Jalibi and the Urdu Dictionary Board’s six decades of service. Governor Sindh highlighted the necessity of establishing a Primary Education Commission to improve the foundational education system. He stressed the importance of guiding children on appropriate internet usage, noting that it is crucial in the modern digital era. Governor Tessori spoke about the significance of continuing the work initiated by previous generations, lighting candles of progress in service to the nation.
He announced a new initiative to provide breakfast to 12,000 schoolchildren facing economic hardships, aiming to support their educational journey. Tessori underscored the duty to preserve the rich cultural and literary heritage left by predecessors. The Governor urged everyone to pledge to nurture the legacy planted by their forebears, ensuring it flourishes.
He reiterated that Urdu is a key component of national identity and has given the nation its unique recognition. Emphasizing the importance of following in the footsteps of elders, he mentioned that it enables individuals to accomplish great feats. Governor Sindh praised the Urdu Dictionary Board for its dedicated service to the Urdu language.
