ISLAMABAD– Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani honored Mohsin Nawaz for his contributions to long-range shooting. Nawaz, a long-range F-Class shooter and sports psychologist, has achieved notable success both nationally and internationally.
Nawaz’s career began in 2018 when he won a gold medal in the F-Class Nationals at 600 meters. He then secured a bronze medal at the South Africa Open Championship at 900 yards. In 2022, he earned three gold medals and two silver medals at the Bisley Championship in South Africa. His performance at the European Championship in 2023 was marked by a silver medal at 800 yards, matching the European record.
Chairman Senate Yousaf Raza Gillani acknowledged Nawaz’s dedication and achievements during a formal ceremony held in Islamabad. Nawaz is currently in London, preparing for the upcoming F-Class Imperial and European Championship scheduled for July. He also aims to compete in the World Long Range Shooting Championship with the Long Range Pakistan Rifle Association team.
