LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) is responsible for new planned development in Lahore division of Punjab.

It is also responsible to regulate and issue permits for new construction and private housing projects, private houses, and commercial development in the city.

All housing societies run by the private companies are required to get registered with LDA by fulfilling the requirements, including Master Plan laws. It takes action against societies, which are built illegally, in order to save citizens from losing their hard-earned money.

The LDA time to time updates the list of illegal societies in the city and people can check them online through official website of the authority.
