KARACHI – In a distressing incident, actress Nimra Khan successfully thwarted an attempted kidnapping by resisting her abductors.
In a video shared on social media, Nimra Khan detailed the harrowing experience, revealing that she was targeted for abduction the previous day.
According to the actress, she was waiting outside a hotel for her car when three armed men approached her. The assailants attempted to forcibly drag her into their vehicle at gunpoint.
Nimra Khan managed to resist by fleeing onto the sidewalk, though she noted that no one nearby came to her aid.
The armed men pursued her, and she feared for her life as they could have shot her.
Assistance came when a passing vehicle, driven by a family, and hotel staff intervened to help her.
In her video, Nimra Khan questioned the safety of women in Pakistan.
She also asked whether people can truly say their loved ones are safe in Pakistan, saying that the answer is no.
The incident has sparked widespread sympathy from social media users, who are calling for the authorities to apprehend the individuals involved in the abduction attempt.
