PTI Lahore Rally Location: How Far is it from Minar-e-Pakistan?

LAHORE — Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) finally secured permission to hold rally in Lahore despite legal challenges and raids on its workers and leaders houses, and now the venue of the power show has been changed from iconic Minar-e-Pakistan to Kahna.

Punjab government granted permission to top PTI leaders to hold rally near Kahna Ring Road. As per the notification, the rally time will be from 3-6p. The rally will take place at Jallo Park instead of the originally planned venue at Minar-e-Pakistan – where Imran Khan’s party held massive gatherings in previous years.

The new location for PTI rally is in Kahna which is over 50km from national monument. Lahore Ring Road/L-20 can redirect to the new site and it takes just over an hour without much traffic.

The alternate route is fromGajju Matah and taking Rohi Nala Road. Travelling from main Lahore-Kasur Road would take about an hour without traffic, but with diversions and containers placement, it could take long time to reach there.

Ahead of rally, Minar-e-Pakistan gates have been locked, while there strong cops deployment as district administration proactively restricted public access to Minar-e-Pakistan.

PTI convoys’s are set to leave from KP, Sindh and parts of the country to reach Lahore as party leaders directed workers to bring max supporters , and the convoy will carry equipment to remove any obstacles encountered along the route.
