TIMES World University Rankings 2025 is here, but there is nothing major for Pakistanis as only varsity made it to top 500 – a major drop as compared to last year when major institutions were included in the prestigious list.

This year, 2,000 universities from 115 nations were evaluated, showing around 10pc YoY increase in number of ranked institutions—the largest growth in five years. 47 Pakistani institutions featured in rankings, but only Islamabad based Quaid-i-Azam University maintains its position in the under 500 list.

Other 8 varieties made it to 1-800 range. Some institutions include Capital University of Science and Technology, Air Uni, Sukkur IBA, University of Malakand. COMSATS, GC Faisalabad, NUST, UET Taxila also made it to the list.
