ISLAMABAD – Electricity Consumers in Pakistan’s capital city Islamabad got relief from Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) as the last date for utility bills has been extended amid the disruption.
The bills with billing Page numbers 29, 28, 27, 24, 4, 3, and 2, which were due this month, will now have an extended due date as life remains paralyzed for almost a week in twin cities.
IESCO spokesperson shared the update for consumers who will be able to pay their bills without incurring any additional surcharge until November 29, 2024. This extension aims to ease the challenges faced by users who were unable to make timely payments due to the protest-related issues.
The electricity supplier issued necessary instructions to all its offices, banks, and post offices to accommodate the extended payment period. The move is expected to provide relief to affected consumers during these challenging times.
It also emphasized that all concerned parties have been informed and necessary steps have been taken to ensure smooth processing of payments.
