The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Parliamentary Party of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) held a significant meeting at Zardari House, Karachi, chaired by Mrs. Faryal Talpur, President of the PPP Women’s Wing. After thorough discussions, the party unanimously rejected the recently issued Presidential Ordinance, deeming it a violation of the democratic will and rights of the people of AJK.
The party expressed strong disapproval of the ordinance, emphasizing that it undermines the democratic processes and the aspirations of the people of AJK. The PPP urged the AJK government to immediately withdraw the ordinance in the best interest of its citizens.
The meeting was attended by key members of the PPP AJK Parliamentary Party, including Sardar Yaqoob Khan, Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen, Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Mian Waheed, Javed Ayub, Bazil Naqvi, Javed Badhanvi, Zia ul Qamar, Qasim Majeed, Amir Ghaffar Loan, Amir Yaseen, and Nabila Ayub.
The party reaffirmed its commitment to standing with the people of AJK and protecting their democratic rights, ensuring justice, fairness, and the preservation of their aspirations.
