ISLAMABAD – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has assured Pakistani authorities of pacing up the visa process for Pakistani applicants.
UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al Zaabi stated this during a meeting with with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar at the Foreign Office on Wednesday.
Besides visa issue, both sides also discussed measures to strengthen bilateral ties, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement.
“Deputy Prime Minister/ Foreign Minister and Ambassador Al Zaabi also discussed visa issues for Pakistani nationals,” an official statement said.
The ambassador briefed the deputy prime minister on the steps being taken to streamline the visa processes including augmenting human resource.
He added that such steps will cut the delays and expedite the visa processing.
The visa issue came under discussion during the meeting after reports claimed that Pakistani applicants were facing delay or outright rejection of the UAE visas.
