MUZAFFARABAD – Parts of Pakistan are witnessing cold weather, and now school timings have been changed to save young ones from extreme weather conditions.
Administration in Azad Kashmir announced revised school timings. From December 16, Monday, all government and private schools in AJK will start classes from 9:00 AM-2:30 PM.
Classes will end at 2:30pm during weekdays, and on Fridays, schools will start from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
Pakistan Weather Outlook
As per cold advisory, cold wave is expected to ease in most areas while continental air remains in South Asian nation, with a shallow westerly wave approaching the north and west.
During the weekend, cold and dry weather is forecast for most regions, with very cold, partly cloudy conditions in the hilly areas in Kashmir.
Temperatures in AJK ranges from -14°C to -12°C. Jammu will remain sunny with temperatures between 3°C and 6°C. Garhi Doppatta will have sunny weather on Saturday, and thunderstorms on Monday.
Muzaffarabad will see sunny conditions, with thunderstorms and rain expected on Monday. Rawalakot will have sunny and partly cloudy weather, with rain likely in coming days.
