LAHORE –Punjab government on Tuesday officially announced Winter Vacations for all public and private schools across region. In a notification issued by Secretary of School Education, schools will remain closed from December 20, 2024, to January 10, 2025.

The winter break will conclude on January 10, and schools will reopen on Monday, January 13, 2025, after the weekend holidays on January 11-12, 2025. Despite the winter break, the existing restrictions on wearing face masks within school premises will remain in effect, ensuring continued health protocols.
A notification issued by Secretary education said “it is hereby notified that Winter Vacation in all Public and Private Schools in the Province of Punjab shall be observed with effect from 20.12.2024 to 10.01.2025. All schools shall re-open on Monday, 13” 2025 (11.01.2025 & 12.01.2025 being Saturday & Sunday).”
It mentioned restrictions regarding wearing of Face Masks within school premises shall remain intact. Chief Executive Officers’ (DEA) concerned are directed to ensure compliance with the orders.
