He continued, “We informed the Chief Justice that the hearing dates for the founder of PTI’s cases keep changing. Despite the courts’ permission, Imran Khan is not allowed to meet with anyone nor is he allowed to speak with his children. The prison manual is being disregarded.”
He added, “Regarding military courts, Salman Akram Raja also spoke with the Chief Justice. Similarly, we briefed him in detail about missing persons and informed him that people are being abducted from Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The situation in Balochistan is so dire that people are talking about independence there,”.
Umar Ayub further stated, “We also discussed the economy with the Chief Justice, providing details on inflation, purchasing power and unemployment. We talked about the letters from the founder of PTI regarding May 9 and November 26, and we told him that we do not accept the 26th constitutional amendment. A commission should be formed to address these letters,”.
The PTI leader mentioned, “We informed him that our workers are being implicated in fake cases. We also discussed the non-implementation of production orders for Members of the National Assembly. The threats faced by lawyers were also brought to the Chief Justice’s attention. Additionally, we raised the issue of judges’ letters and the negative role of intelligence agencies.”
He added, “We informed the Chief Justice that multiple FIRs and fake cases have been filed against lawyers to intimidate them. We also highlighted the negative actions of secret agencies in Punjab in collaboration with the police. We said that, as Chief Justice, it is your responsibility to protect the judiciary, and you must take steps to uphold the rule of law.”
