A 26-member delegation of the Pak-France Business Forum led by Sardar Zahoor Iqbal Khan has arrived to attend the Overseas Pakistanis Convention.
The members of the forum as well as the chairman have reaffirmed their support to the Pakistan government’s business-friendly initiatives and various measures to facilitate the overseas Pakistanis living in France and rest of Europe.
The overseas Pakistani business community has always upheld the Pakistani interests supreme and represented their country on all forums with full potential and vigour, said Sardar Zahoor Iqbal. “We are the unofficial ambassadors of Pakistan in our host countries and the government will always find us on the front foot whenever there is a question of political stability and revival of economy,” he said.
He commended the government particularly the Overseas Pakistanis minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain and the Chairman of the OPF Syed Qamar Raza for acknowledging the crucial role and contributions of the overseas Pakistanis.
They have made day-and-night efforts to make the event a huge success, he said. Organizing the first-ever convention of the Overseas Pakistanis reflects the government’s resolve to address the problems being faced by the overseas Pakistanis, he said. It is important to mention here that besides France, a number of the overseas Pakistanis delegations are attending from the Gulf, European and the north American countries.
The UAE’s eminent business personality Haji Shahid who could not make it due to last-hour engagements, also lauded Sardar Zahoor Iqbal Khan and his team for taking a 26-member delegation to Islamabad to participate in the Overseas Pakistanis Convention. The convention will play an important role in promoting business activities in Pakistan and the delegation from France will be instrumental in convincing the French investors and the business companies to invest in Pakistan.
