ISLAMABAD – Over 3,500 elderly pensioners of the Pakistan Airport Authority are suffering due to rising inflation and severe financial hardship.
Reports indicate that the Authority’s management ignored prevailing laws, the Senate Standing Committee on Aviation’s recommendations, and the Ministry of Aviation’s issued BOI report, making arbitrary decisions through the Board, resulting in delays in the disbursement of pension dues.
Highlighting the gravity of the situation, senior pensioner Haseeb-ur-Rehman sent letters on March 3rd to the Secretary of Defence and esteemed Board members to apprise them of the ground realities and seek their intervention.
The affected pensioners have urgently appealed to the Secretary of Defence and the honourable Board members for immediate action, demanding prompt payment of their dues and swift resolution of their financial crisis.
