LAHORE – Retail prices of cement in Pakistan have recorded a slight decrease during the past week.
Data shared by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) said in the week ending on May 22, the average retail price per bag of cement in the northern cities of the country was recorded at Rs1413, which is 0.37 percent lower compared to the previous week.
In the southern cities, the average retail price per bag of cement remained at Rs1428, the same as the previous week.

According to the statistics, during the past week, the average retail price per bag of cement was recorded as follows:
Islamabad – Rs. 1402
Rawalpindi – Rs. 1386
Gujranwala – Rs. 1449
Sialkot – Rs. 1420
Lahore – Rs. 1464
Faisalabad – Rs. 1400
Sargodha – Rs. 1398
Multan – Rs. 1416
Bahawalpur – Rs. 1450
Peshawar – Rs. 1402
Bannu – Rs. 1360
Similarly, in the southern cities, the average retail price per bag of cement was recorded as follows:
Karachi – Rs. 1360
Hyderabad – Rs. 1399
Sukkur – Rs. 1500
Larkana – Rs. 1416
Quetta – Rs. 1450
Khuzdar – Rs. 1443
