LAHORE – The upcoming T20I series between Pakistan and Bangladesh, starting May 28 at Gaddafi Stadium, will be played without the Decision Review System (DRS), due to the unavailability of technical staff.
The three-match series, scheduled for May 28, 30, and June 1, will go ahead without this key technology that is now a standard part of international cricket. According to sources in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the DRS operators have not returned following the conclusion of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), which also did not feature DRS.
The officials confirmed that the Bangladesh team has already been informed about the absence of the review system, and both sides are expected to adjust to the situation accordingly.
The lack of DRS sparked concern among some cricket followers, who believe it could affect decision-making during the matches.
However, both teams would continue with the series as planned under traditional umpiring.
Meanwhile, the PCB announced that the trophy unveiling and a joint press conference featuring the captains of both teams would be held later today, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting series between the two sides.
