PESHAWAR – More rains and gusty winds are predicted in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday night and the next two days with occasional gaps.
Heavy rains and hailstorms are also predicted at isolated places during the period.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents penetrate the upper and central parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave prevails over the upper and western part of the country.
Under these weather conditions, more rains and gusty winds are predicted in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Buner, Mansehra, Battagram, Shangla, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Mohmand, Bajaur, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Kohat, Hangu, Karak and Waziristan on Tuesday night and the next two days with occasional gaps. Isolated heavy rains and hailstorms may also occur during the period.
Peshawar’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 37°C and 39°C on Wednesday and between 36°C and 38°C on Thursday.
Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours. However, rains and gusty winds occurred in upper districts.

Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. The maximum temperature in Bannu was recorded at 40°C.
In Peshawar, the maximum temperature was recorded at 38°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 69 per cent.
