QUETTA – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir declared zero tolerance for India’s ‘Hydro Terrorism’, calling moves like the revocation of the Indus Water Treaty unlawful and legally indefensible.
The remarks of the country’s military chief came in an address to faculty and student officers at Command and Staff College in Balochistan capital Quetta, where he reaffirmed Islamabad’s firm commitment to national defense and its ongoing war against terrorism.
In comprehensive speech that touched on regional tensions, Army Chief expressed concern over New Delhi’s growing tendency for unprovoked military actions against Pakistan. He underscored the urgency of resolving the Kashmir dispute peacefully, warning that continued aggression would only destabilize the region further.

“Pakistan will never be coerced,” COAS said, adding “Our counter-terrorism efforts will not be derailed, and any designs to destabilize our internal security will be decisively defeated.”
COAS alleged that India is actively sponsoring terrorism inside Pakistan, while expressing confidence in Pakistan’s reinvigorated counter-terrorism operations. “This fight will continue until its logical conclusion is achieved,” he added.
Addressing future leadership of armed forces, Asim Munir emphasized need for innovation, critical thinking, and adaptability in preparing for modern warfare. He praised the Command and Staff College for its role in developing high-caliber officers who are capable of meeting tomorrow’s challenges.
“Military training must evolve with changing threats. Agility and strategic foresight are key to success on the modern battlefield,” he said.
Asim Munir paid tribute to the martyrs of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, offering solidarity to their families and lauding the unity of the Pakistani nation in safeguarding its sovereignty. He described the success of Maarka-e-Haq as a reflection of national determination and seamless coordination among all arms of state power.
Upon his arrival in Quetta, Field Marshal Munir was received by the Commander Quetta Corps and the Commandant of the Command and Staff College.
