ISLAMABAD – The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has reduced the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for June 2025.
According to the notification issued by OGRA, the new LPG prices will come into effect from June 1. The domestic LPG cylinder has become cheaper by Rs54.60.
The new price of an 11.8 kg domestic LPG cylinder has been set at Rs2,838.31.
The per kilogram price of LPG has been reduced by Rs4.63, after which the new per kilogram price of has been set at Rs240.53.
Meanwhile, a slight relief for Pakistani consumers, as fuel prices in Pakistan are expected to come down in first half of June 2025. As people expected big relief on POLs, Petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) will become slightly cheaper, with no major cut expected.
Petrol prices may drop by Rs0.60 to Rs1.00 per litre, reducing current rate of Rs252.63 to between Rs251.63 and Rs. 251.03. High-Speed Diesel (HSD) could see a Rs0.28 to Rs0.50 per litre decrease, bringing it down from Rs254.64 to between Rs254.36 and Rs254.14.
As petrol, and diesel rates are expected to come down, Kerosene oil is expected to move up by Rs0.30 per litre, reaching Rs164.96, while Light Diesel Oil (LDO) may see a hike of Rs. 1.30 per litre.
The modest cuts are being driven by dip in international oil prices. Brent crude is currently trading between $64.02 and $64.60 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) has slipped below $61 per barrel, marking 1.5pc decline. This decline follows reports that OPEC+ may soon boost global oil output, though the scale and timeline remain uncertain.
