THE brutal and cowardly militant attack in Surab, Balochistan, which claimed the life of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Hidayatullah Buledi, marks yet another tragic episode in the relentless war against terrorism that Pakistan continues to fight with unwavering resolve.
The assault, carried out by dozens of armed militants, not only targeted the residence of the senior government official but also torched vital state infrastructure — including a police station, a levies post, several government offices and a bank.
Amidst this chaos, ADC Hidayatullah Buledi stood firm.
He resisted the attackers and ultimately embraced martyrdom while protecting his home and family.
His unparalleled bravery at a time of grave danger remind us of the profound courage and commitment of our civil servants and law enforcement personnel.
PM Shehbaz Sharif rightly paid tribute to Buledi, calling his sacrifice a symbol of courage and resistance.
As a nation, we owe it to heroes like Hidayatullah Buledi to ensure that their families are not forgotten.
The state must offer not just recognition but sustained support to those left behind by such sacrifices.
This heinous act is not an isolated incident.
It bears the unmistakable imprint of foreign-backed terrorism.
We have no doubt in stating that Indian proxies are behind such attacks.
India, having failed in direct confrontation with Pakistan’s armed forces, now resorts to subversive tactics aimed at destabilizing our strategic and resource-rich province of Balochistan.
These cowardly and dastardly attempts will not succeed.
Our security forces, who have crushed similar threats before, will once again rise to the challenge and defeat these enemies of peace and progress.
At the same time, the government must ramp up diplomatic efforts to expose and counter India’s state-sponsored terrorism.
The global community must be made aware — through international forums and bilateral engagements — that India is not the victim it claims to be, but rather a perpetrator of terror in the region.
The time has come for the world to hold India accountable for its malign interference and its deliberate attempts to undermine peace in Pakistan.
