KARACHI – Pakistani TikToker and model Erica Haq has spoken out on viral video scandals, saying some social media figures deliberately leaked their own explicit videos to gain fame and views.
In a recent interview, Erica openly discussed this increasingly sensitive and delicate issue in society. She claimed that in pursuit of fame, certain TikTokers intentionally leaked their inappropriate videos to attract attention from the media and the public.
She stated that the purpose behind such actions is to achieve maximum popularity. Previously, the trend of making couple videos brought fame, but as that trend faded, some girls started seeking new ways to gain attention.
She clarified that this is not a common practice, but in some cases, videos have indeed been intentionally made viral.
She further added that initially she used to believe that these girls were victims, but now it seems that in some cases, the girls themselves are behind the leaks.
Erica also shared that she has never made videos with any male, and therefore never felt pressured to seek views or fame in that way.
It is recalled that in recent times, explicit videos of several TikTokers — including Minahil Malik, Sajal Malik, Samia Hijab, Amsha Rehman, and Aliza Sehr — have allegedly been leaked and gone viral.
