LAHORE – The Punjab government has allowed the educational institutions to hold summer camps for their students during summer holidays.
Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat shared the development in a post shared on social media platform, X.
He said the institutions will be allowed to hodl summer camps for a maximum period of 30 days, adding that the timings will be 7:30 am to 10 am.
He also clarified that no fee will be charged from students for the summer camps.
Punjab Summer Holidays
On May 20, Punjab government officially announced summer vacation schedule for all institutions across regions amid scorching heat and alert from PDMA and other bodies.
In light of extreme weather, School Education Department also issued notifications regarding summer break. According to School Education Department’s notification, all government and private schools will remain closed from May 28, 2025, to August 14, 2025 while Afternoon schools will be closed from May 21 to August 15.
“Pursuant to approval of the Competent Authority, it is hereby notified that all schools (Public and Private) in province of the Punjab shall remain closed w.e.f. 28.05.2025 to 14.08.2025 for summer vacations. Moreover. all afternoon schools shall remain closed w.e.f. 21.05.2025 to 14.08.2025. 3. All schools in the Province of Punjab shall reopen w.e.f 15th August, 2025. 4. All Chief Executive Officers (DEAs) are directed to ensure compliance of the orders,” it said.
