JEDDAH – Saudi Arabia has announced the reopening of Umrah visa following the successful completion of the Hajj season.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the new Umrah season has officially begun, and starting today, Wednesday, June 11, permits will be issued via the Nusuk application.
The app not only offers a seamless Umrah experience but also facilitates easy booking and issuance of permits.
At the start of the Hajj season, the Saudi government had suspended Umrah visas in April, instructing foreign pilgrims to return by April 29.
The Ministry had directed Umrah companies and tour operators to finalize their service agreements by May 27. It was further stated that Umrah visas could only be issued until the end of Ramadan.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has launched the post-Hajj flight operation as first flight carrying 307 Pakistani pilgrims landed at Islamabad International Airport on early Wednesday.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-732 departed from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah at 8:50 pm local time and arrived in Islamabad at 3:50 am.
Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhary welcomed the pilgrims at the airport. The operation will continue with additional flights landing across Pakistan.
