RIYADH – Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned Israel’s military strikes against the Islamic Republic of Iran, labeling the action a blatant attack on Iran’s sovereignty and national security.
In an official statement released by the Kingdom’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Riyadh described the Israeli airstrikes as a “clear violation of international laws and norms.” The statement urged the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to take immediate and effective steps to halt the aggression.
These heinous attacks are unacceptable,” the statement read. “It is the responsibility of the UN Security Council and the broader international community to intervene swiftly and stop this escalation.”
The Foreign Ministry further reiterated that Iran is a “brotherly Islamic nation” and emphasized that the Israeli actions threaten not only Iran but also the stability and peace of the entire region.
The Kingdom’s response comes amid rising tensions in the Middle East following a wave of Israeli airstrikes that targeted multiple Iranian military and nuclear sites which reportedly martyred senior Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists.
