MANSEHRA – Access to famous tourist spot Naran-Kaghan has been restricted amid roadwork, and you need to check travel guidelines before heading to north.
As per the recent announcement, Naran-Kaghan Road will be temporarily closed to all types of traffic from June 14 to June 17, 2025, as part of a major road safety and expansion initiative led by the National Highway Authority (NHA).
The closure is focused on the section from Mansehra to the Mahandari Bridge, where construction teams are working to widen the road and implement safety improvements. This effort is aimed at reducing risks for travelers and improving long-term accessibility in the region.
Naran Route Update
The district administrations of Mansehra and Diamer urged tourists to postpone any travel plans to Naran, Kaghan, and Gilgit-Baltistan during these four days. As an alternative, travelers are advised to use the Karakoram Highway via the Bisham route to avoid disruptions.
Diamer Police Control Room is actively monitoring the situation and can be reached at 05812-930037 for real-time travel updates and assistance.
Local officials said this temporary measure is necessary to ensure public safety and support efficient progress on the construction work. They have also appealed for public cooperation and patience during this short-term inconvenience.
