TEHRAN – Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Tehran will never surrender to external pressure, whether through war, peace negotiations, or threats as tensions continue unabated amid major escalation in Middle East.
Khamenei’s defiant message comes amid renewed tensions with Washington. In televised address broadcast by Iranian media, Supreme Leader of Iran said the country would remain unwavering in the face of any attempt to force its hand.
“This nation will not surrender to anyone under pressure. Neither war nor peace can be imposed on us,” he stated firmly.
Referring directly to recent remarks by US President Donald Trump, who urged Iran to back down or face consequences, Khamenei responded by reaffirming Iran’s resistance. “Those who understand Iran’s history know that it does not yield to threats,” he added.
Khamenei further issued stern warning, cautioning that any military action by the United States would bring “serious and irreparable consequences.”
Khamenei’s comments highlight a longstanding position within Iran’s leadership — that the country will chart its own course regardless of international demands or intimidation.
‘We know where you’re hiding, Khamenei’
US President Donald Trump issued direct warning to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, saying the U.S. knows his exact location and could strike if provoked. As tensions escalate between Iran and Israel, Trump demanded Iran’s unconditional surrender and the dismantling of its nuclear program.
He claimed the US and allies control Tehran’s airspace and urged civilians to evacuate. Though open to diplomacy, Trump stressed it would only occur under strict terms. He also dismissed intelligence suggesting Iran isn’t pursuing nuclear weapons. Trump returned early from the G7 summit to hold an emergency security meeting, signaling potential U.S. involvement in the conflict.
