LAHORE – In a landmark initiative to enhance public convenience, the Punjab Traffic Police has installed Pakistan’s first-ever facilitation kiosk at Lahore international airport.
The facility, inaugurated by Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore, Dr. Muhammad Athar Waheed, has been set up at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.
This innovative service allows citizens to obtain their International Driving Permit (IDP) in just five minutes, making international travel more seamless.
The international driving licenses enables Pakistani drivers to legally drive in 132 countries around the world.
Speaking at the inauguration, CTO Lahore highlighted that this kiosk is designed to serve overseas Pakistanis and travelers who often face time constraints.
“This initiative reflects our commitment to modernizing traffic services and ensuring easy access for the public, especially at key points like airports,” he said.
The facility is expected to greatly benefit travelers, reducing processing time and making essential documentation more accessible. The Lahore Traffic Police plans to assess public response and expand such kiosks to other airports in the future.
This step marks a move toward digitization and improved service delivery in public sector institutions.
International Driving License Fee
