KARACHI – Para-athletes of Karachi Vocational Training Centre (KVTC) have been honoured for winning laurels for Pakistan at the recent 21st WATA International Championship in Japan and Malaysia.
KVTC’s eight para-athletes showed excellent performance at the global event.
Indus Motor Company (IMC), under its Toyota CSR initiative, Concern Beyond Cars, reaffirmed its commitment to empowering differently-abled youth by formally distributing cheques of Rs. 500,000 each to the families of these eight para-athletes.
The cheques were handed over personally by Ali Asghar Jamali, CEO, IMC, during a special visit to KVTC. Senator Dr. Abdul Haseeb Khan, Chairman and Founder of KVTC, warmly received Jamali and gave him a comprehensive tour of the facility, showcasing the institution’s long-standing dedication to vocational training, sports excellence, and rehabilitation of differently-abled individuals.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jamali emphasised, “This initiative goes beyond celebration — it’s about recognising the silent efforts of parents who support these athletes every step of the way. At IMC, we believe that enabling a differently-abled individual means strengthening the ecosystem around them, starting with their families.”
