ABU DHABI – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has rejected the reports regarding the Gulf country granting lifetime Golden Visas to nationals of certain countries.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) issued the clarification about some UAE-based and international media outlets shared the baseless reports.
ICP has clarified that the eligibility criteria, conditions, and procedures for obtaining the Golden Visa are clearly outlined under official UAE laws, ministerial decisions, and regulations. All relevant and accurate information can be accessed through the Authority’s official website or smart application, according to the state-run WAM news agency.
It emphasized that Golden Visa applications are processed solely through authorized UAE government platforms. It confirmed that no private consultancy or commercial firm, whether based within the UAE or abroad, is authorized to manage or submit applications for the Golden Visa.
This clarification follows misleading statements recently made by a foreign-based consultancy, which claimed that lifetime Golden Visas could be secured for all categories under simplified conditions through external entities. The ICP stated that these assertions are legally baseless and were issued without any coordination with UAE authorities.
The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a transparent, secure application environment and improving its services exclusively via official digital platforms. It further warned that legal action would be taken against individuals or organizations spreading false claims or attempting to exploit visa applicants by unlawfully collecting money.
Citizens and residents are urged not to fall for misinformation or fraudulent offers. The ICP advised the public to avoid sharing personal documents or making payments to unauthorized parties claiming to provide visa-related services.
For accurate and verified guidance on immigration and residency in the UAE, individuals should rely only on the ICP’s official website or contact its customer support center.
