Galliyat Development Authority (GDA) has asked the provincial government to take prompt measures to support tourism & hospitality sector in Galliyat including the provision of loans, tax incentives and protection of workers from unemployment.
According to the ‘Policy recommendations’ document submitted by GDA to provincial Tourism, the department stated that restoring the tourism sector should be the center of policy dialogue & measures should be taken for the recovery of the economy.
Interest-free loans to hospitality & tourism companies are provided to prevent them from collapse and provide financial support to SMEs in the tourism sector which is willing to introduce digital products. Director-General Galliyat Development Authority Raza Habib when contacted has confirmed that GDA has submitted its recommendation to the provincial Tourism Department for compiling a comprehensive report of the entire province which will be submitted to the Chief Secretary & Chief Minister for approval.
