Aligarh Institute of Technology (AIT) organized the prize distribution ceremony for projects exhibition and awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for the projects with appreciation by the visitors and jury. Students of AIT put novel and innovative projects prepared by them on display at the exhibition, said a statement on Friday.
Around 800 projects were received among which 300 were shortlisted on merit, while 24 projects secured the prizes in the exhibition. The chief guest of the event was Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology Jawaid Anwar.
Chairman, Sindh Board of Technical Education, Masroor Shaikh was also present at the event. On the occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between Aligarh Institute of Technology and Tang International Education Group of Modern Chinese Language Education and Training Cooperation.
Expressing his views regarding FYP, Convenor AIT, Engineer Muhammad Arshad Khan said that the exhibitions and trade fairs provide a platform for the students to showcase their novel projects based on innovative ideas seeking new knowledge.
The institute prepares students in a way that they would have the ability to adjust with the changing environment besides learning, he added.
Principal Aligarh Institute of Technology (AIT) , Shahid Jameel, also spoke on the occasion and presented an overall picture of AIT progress and growth.
