An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of police was killed in a collision between a truck and a car here on Monday.
According to details, the accident took place at Sahiwal-Arifwala Road near Mukair where an overspeeding truck hit a Lahore-bound car coming from Bahawalnagar.
As a result of an accident, ASI Selman was critically injured and rushed to DHQ Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
The police impounded the truck and after registering a case against the driver started an investigation.—INP
